A blog of our progress as we build a shipping container house for a home on our peaceful Texas Hill Country farm and vineyard. Our plan is to exist off the grid using a solar panels power station, wind turbines, batteries, inverters, and the like for our electricity. We have rain gutters and barrels in place for most of our water needs along with a large pond that stayed full even throughout the recent Texas droughts. We invite you to grab a big ole cup of coffee and follow along in the fun!

Discover Ranch changing from summer to fall. I had driven past this standout group of wildflowers a few times, so as soon as I got the opportunity I snapped a photo!

Ethanol Fireplace
We love our new ventless ethanol fuel burning fireplace! Just look how gorgeous! Dale is building without me. He sent this pic to demonstrate how lonely it must be without us tonight :(

October Rain
Awesome rain this morning! Lots of wind. Cooking breakfast tacos: jimmy dean turkey sausage, old red potatoes sauteed in evoo, and HEB chunky salsa in a grilled tortilla! Yummy!
Yes, we have a WOLF 2 burner gas range on our kitchen which is located under the tin roof porch. It's pretty fancy! LOL

Just Another Hole in the Wall
Here is our newest hole in the wall. Well, actually it is the soon to be doorway to our master bath!
We have been working on our new bathroom addition to the container home all weekend, and it's almost ready for the interior fixtures. More posts and pictures to follow!
