Off The Grid, Texas

A blog of our progress as we build a shipping container house for a home on our peaceful Texas Hill Country farm and vineyard. Our plan is to exist off the grid using a solar panels power station, wind turbines, batteries, inverters, and the like for our electricity. We have rain gutters and barrels in place for most of our water needs along with a large pond that stayed full even throughout the recent Texas droughts. Plywood Walls for Container Home Interior

Today's progress was framing the main glass sliding doorway and beginning to install the plywood walls. These walls will be painted Sherwin Williams Ultra White in eggshell finish.
